NASCAR's back and just so everybody knows, Kenseth is going to win it all again this year, and make change the rules again.

It will be fun to see what the Toyota's have in their first on track action at the Cup level tonight.

Newbomb Turk

I'm ready for some NASCAR.
Matt Kenseth...meh - don't like him or hate him. Is he running tonight?

I think people put too much into the Ford/Chevy/Dodge and now Toyota thing. I mean, exactly how much of the car is really a Ford/Chevy/Dodge or Toyota?

SoonerInKCMO
2/10/2007, 08:01 PM
The dude in the Yellow car is going to win it all.

Actually, I have know nothing about NASCAR - I'm just contracting at YRCW and we're getting inundated with information about the new car they're putting in the cup series.

royalfan5
2/10/2007, 08:02 PM
Kenseth is running, while the cars might not be substantially different in design, Toyota has pumped a ton of cash into their programs through engineering and motors, and I want to see what they have bought themselves since they don't have much in the way of drivers. Jarrett's seen better days, Vickers won't have Hendrick's stuff to fall back on, and the rest of the Toyota drivers are pretty medicore or unproven, or Mayfield. I never know what to expect from Mayfield.

Newbomb Turk
2/10/2007, 08:03 PM
It will be strange to see Jarrett in something other than the #88 Ford.

Indeed, just like it took awhile to adjust to Labonte in the 43 last year instead of the 18.

I need to find myself a favorite driver.

When I started watching Winston Cup racing in the 80's, I liked Dale Sr. - and that was when he drove the Wrangler car. I just recently started watching NASCAR (two years ago) again, but I don't really have a driver I like. I usually pull for the Chevy guys, except for Gordon.

Yes, I am betting that Jr. walks to RCR after this year. Teresa is slowly running DEI into the ground, and if Jr. leaves they are toast. However, supposedly Teresa is dating John "Save big money at"Menards whose son drives for DEI, so perhaps, DEI becomes MEI when Jr. leaves.

Not until they can make damn sure the cars won't get over the catch fence and into the crowd. The plates are they because Davey Allison almost cleared the catch fence at Talledega in 1987, and NASCAR's insurer put their foot down.
