This running back, Jofer Onyechi (Jofer as in Joe, Oneechee) from Deer Park, Tx. would be a good catch, IMO. Of course, it's a biased opinion. I watched him play the last two seasons. Very strong. Seen him carry 4 or 5 defenders 10 to 15 yards on several occasions. Smart as well. Not sure of his gpa, but is in some AP classes. (advanced) Right now he has listed OU and TCU. I would like to see him come to OU myself. But who knows. Here's some of his stats from this past season.

I've never had the pleasure of gracing the Norman High hallways, but I would assume that somewhere near 95% of the students are large OU fans. It might be kind of difficult for him to see those people/his friends and know they're OU people and then choose to play football at OU's 53rd biggest rival.

I think it's also partly that he wants to stay true to his commitment and feels bad that he jumped the gun too early.

I've also heard he has concerns with OU offering him then not having a 'ship for him, leading him to greyshirt. I don't think that's a problem with Huggins, Cummings and Bailey's 'ships opening up.

Na, for the most part they're over it. They're recruit mode just like we are now. However, the flip side of that is it is a down year for Ohio native players. so not a lot of players are being talked about as in past years as there were with the Ginns, Smith, Wells of the state.

Wow, pokes are going to be in full meltdown mode!

Yeah.

They'll probably say all kinds of crazy shi-ite now, like, "He obviously is too wishy washy - we wouldn't want a kid who didn't even know he *wanted* to be here, anyhow. Let him have fun at girl humper U!"

Y'know. Stuff like that -- as if they weren't *totally* on his jock before he changed his mind.

;)

You would be amazed at how truly invaluable and GOOD strength and conditioning program is to a universities athletes. Glad to hear this kind of stuff.

Along with Loadholt, Stoops said that Nichol has gained 12lbs of muscle in 3 weeks. I like the fact that these kids that we need to perform sooner than later are busting their butts and working hard

What? Why aren't y'all crying about Schmitty's grueling weight/conditioning program running off all the OL's now?

AMEN!! You also weed out real fast who wants to work and get better and who doesn't. Normally the players that bust it are the players you see on the field. The ones who don't... normally watch it all go down.

Well, duh. I'm not complaining, because we now have something like 45 offensive linemen on scholarship.

Nice little quote here from Ryan Broyles that I thought you guys might appreciate!!!

RS: What were some of the reasons you chose Oklahoma over others including OSU?

Broyles: In the process of elimination, I guess I wanted to win championships; this place (OU) puts me in the best position.

So...without reading this entire thread and seeing what ESPN and Rivals had to say about our recruiting class...is this an average class or what? Does it even matter because Stoops could coach anybody? Go Sooners!!

I understand there is some discrepancy between rivals and scout but how does rivals have our class ranked 14th and scout 31st? Not that the rankings mean anything but still interesting that there is that much of a difference.

Scout gives a lot heavier weight to total players committed. Their player analysis is also pretty much for crap.
