seriously Hairy, I've been working on an overlap grip with a stronger left hand (really wanted to try it out today). somehow, in 6 years I've gone from hitting it high with a draw to much lower with a sometimes hook. can't rely on it at all.

well you losers missed out. it was 73 a little breezy and BEAUTIFUL.

If not for a lost ball on #8(we played the back first), I could have posted a tidy little 5 over. But no....my ball pulled a disappearing act from the right side of the fairway...literally...we watched it go IN the fairway....get up there....and it's just gone. So I had to go back. But hey, I kept it under 80 in February, I'm ok with that.

Xstnlsooner
2/8/2007, 10:35 AM
No, got a substantially sweetened pot here and decided just to stay.
I am going to move closer to Tulsa though, prolly just west of Sand
Springs. I'll be half an hour to work and just 15-20 from the important
parts of Tulsa.

It's pretty damn hard to give up being your own boss especially with
the likelihood of making some serious cash with the high price of crude.

All I need now is some thirty-something honey with major talent and
a sense of humor and some brains to go with it! lol I've been looking
for that for years. Must be something oxymoronic!

OU4LIFE
2/8/2007, 10:39 AM

Xstnlsooner

Actually, disillusioned about any real hope of finding a big
leaguer. It's outa my hands. Has been all along, just takes
some time to figure it out and surrender to it.

BUT!! there's always golf and beer and great Fall days in Norman!!

Larger metros = lower chances of kids at a young age, of course, there can be much more baggage than a Louis Vuitton store.

Xstnlsooner

makes it even harder.....

(God laughs...)

just issues

he likes to score them alone.

OU4LIFE
2/9/2007, 08:26 AM
well it's kinda hard to score them in tandem, you moran.

But then, not having one, you wouldn't know that. It'll happen someday, once you learn to break 80. Just be patient grasshopper.

picasso
2/9/2007, 09:20 AM
been seriously close about 4 times but yeah you're right. I can't claim one until I do so playing alone, and trying it 4 times on the same hole.

translation: "You are correct, Mark. I really wish I had made one, but i'm just not good enough yet. I plan to keep trying, but until then I'll just continue to use humor as a defense mechanism and to hide my jealousy."

It's ok dude, I understand. I felt the same way until I got mine. stick with it, and focus.

picasso
2/9/2007, 09:35 AM
good point but I want to make mine on a hole longer than 37 yards.

you know like those old swing for sight competition things where the dude who won topped his 5 iron 150 yards and rolled one in.;)

OU4LIFE
2/9/2007, 09:38 AM
I was playing with a guy once, he had JUST started playing....we were playing 17 at CT and he's hitting a 3-wood from the white tees (about 141 yards), and he plays this huge banana slice....well you guessed it, he hauls off and tops it...it rolls all the way there....into the cup.

that's when I decided that hole-in-one are nothign but pure damn luck.

until I got one, then I realized the level of skill one must possess to pull off such a feat.
