Happy end to iguana penis saga
Mozart, the iguana whose penis was surgically removed after he got a permanent erection, is back with his girlfriends and enjoying a healthy sex life again.
Mozart had the operation so he could walk again after suffering from an eternal erection that had put his health at risk.
The erection was caused when Mozart mated with one of the females.
Remedies from cold water, to introducing more female iguanas into his enclosure all failed, and it was decided that an operation was the only solution to the problem.
A spokesman for the Aquatopia zoo in Belgium said: 'It was bad for his heart. But as male iguanas have a second penis, the operation has not affected Mozart's performance.
'He was returned to his mates, and it was clear from the first day his sex life has not been affected.'
(Actually, I just wanted to post that title.)
