John Edwards is probably calling his builder as we speak.

Those teeny little carports will never cover those big planes.

Tee hee...

They come on a comet, so they don't need a landing pad.

The neighborhood is called Jumbolair. It's a fly-in/fly-out community with a 1.5 mile runway. Just north of Ocala, Fla in Anthony.

The best thing about the house is that it uses 23% less energy than most other houses this size.

Looks like the strip mall across the street from Graceland. If you squint you can almost make out the TCB logo on the back of the Lisa Marie II.

Oops. I mean Hound Dog II. My bad.

Garth's place is a lot nicer compared to this thing.

I mean, you cannot go wrong with 40+ fireplaces.

So, "big houses of wealthy people I disagree with" is the new hard-on?

Um, okay.

So, "massive heated and cool mansions and personal 707s of liberal environmental hypocrites I disagree with" is the new hard-on?

Um, okay.

Fixed it for ya. :D

Oh, sorry. I forgot only you guys get to be rich. My bad.

You know, it IS possible to have nice things and be a responsible steward of the environment. But then again, you wouldn't be able to start all these nifty, knee-jerk, jackassy threads every time you see a picture of a rich Democrat's house.

Yeah, cause nothing says "responsible steward of the environment" like having a 707 AND a lear parked out by your pool.

What, if anything, is your point? Other than, "ooh, he has private jets!"

I mean, it's not like he's dumping leftover jet fuel into the river or anything. You people like to equate "environmentalist" with "electric car-driving commune resident". And is Travolta even an environmentalist?

Travolta actually strikes me as somewhat conservative, going by what I've seen him quoted on concerning the war on terrorism and Juan Epstein.

I recall Trump saying that his 707 was cheaper then a lear jet

I think Trump bought an old DC-10 that had been mothballed and sitting in a field in Arizona.

The purchase was probably cheaper than a new Citation or Lear but I doubt the operating cost is.

My point? Well silly me. And here I am thinking that a house with a 707 parked at it was a bit odd, to say the least. Not really sure why that would send you over the edge, but hey, what ever.

Who's over the edge? I'm just curious as to why it's "wrong" for a multimillionare with a pilot's license to have a place to house his aircraft. From what others have said in this thread, the neighborhood he lives in has its own private airstrip, which suggests to me that everyone in said neighborhood has similar accomodations for their own planes. What makes Travolta stand out to you?

I'm pretty sure it's a 707 and a Gulfstream. Bill Lear didn't make jets bigger than a lawn dart.
