anyone know if the OU vs. Longwood game will be on TV tonight? It is not showing up on the local tv schedule and nothing is listed on SoonerSports.com

He wanted to avoid it becoming the official "Sooner Women play with Longwood thread."

I really hate having this game right now from a fan's perspective. It really means zilch. It might be a decent warm-up for the coaches and players coming off two tough road losses, but overall, this game is just a snoozer for this time of year. I suppose an extra win does help w/ the NIT/NCAA folks at the end of the year, but that's about it.

Just think, if we win tonight, and go 6-4 the rest of the way, we'd have 18 wins headed into the tourney. Imagine that-- 2 tourney wins away from a 20 win season.

Sooners could easily go 4-5 for the first half of the remaining regular season. Going 2-3 over the last half might prove to be more difficult, at least the toughest teams will be in OUr house.

it should be fun guessing wether OU makes the big dance right down to the final game!

OU ahead 23-10 over longwood

Sooners actually have less turnovers than an opposing team!

Back from the game. It's hard to gauge anything because it was against Longwood and there are probably teams better than them in their homtown of Farmville, Virginia, but OU seemed to be sharpening up in transition game and some offensive sets.

There were a few defensive breakdowns (ahem Longar ahem) that better teams will exploit better and the inside game was not as strong as it could've. Still, when the 3's are falling it's easy to ignore.

Nate's the man and Crocker's solid. Chris Walker played more than he ever has and cramped up near the end. He's still Chris Walker though.

The crowd was PATHETIC. 3,000 tops and students were minimal. I guess someone died in my section before we got there because there was no smiling the whole game.

And please, can we get rid of DJ Necktie? He can ride into the sunset on the horsepig.

BIG mistake...I didnt make it to the game tonight, so I checked the box score after the game. Guess who ESPN showed as having scored 4 points...MOOSE! I was so surprised and stunned, but I wouldn't let myself believe, so I went over to soonersports.com and sure enough, my hopes had gotten up for no reason as I thought. When I saw his name I thought this was physically impossible considering the severity of his injury. Don't do that to me ESPN!

I think it was just a mistake because it was right after the game...it's changed now.

Hey, now, they came almost as close as Baylor to beating us. :D

DJ Necktie is the dude behind the north goal who plays all the recorded music. Probably not his choice of music (I'm sure people from up on high tell him "play stuff that every arena in the U.S. has played thousands of times"), but just looking at him stare impatiently at the OU band so he can play fifteen seconds of "This Is How We Do It" annoys me to no end.

And DJ's should not wear ties. They're not bankers. They should look weird and drugged out like the one from Zoolander. :D

Hey, my college baseball team beat Longwood in 1991 to advance to the Division II baseball championship. Their star player was Michael Tucker, with the Royals last I checked.

Yeah not exactly a huge win last night but again the team took care of business, put the game away early and it is a nice tune up for Sat as well.
