Calls it a career after three seasons at Army. Also had stints with Maryland, Georgia Tech and is the only coach to lead the San Diego Chargers to the Super Bowl.
At Georgia Tech, his 1990 Yellow Jackets were the TRUE national champions (Colorado needed a fifth down and a clipping penalty to claim its share of it) and Ross did a good job at Maryland as well. May go down as one of the most underrated coaches in college football history.
Offensive line coach Stan Brock has been promoted to replace Ross at Army.
