I've got a home theater receiver that is "XM compatible", but I really want to get Sirius because they are the BIG XII carrier for sports......will Sirius work with my receiver?
Does it say "Sirius compatible"?

i doubt it would. a receiver for dish network wouldnt work for direct tv and vice versa. i imagine it would be the same for satellite radio.

I'm thinking that all XM compatible means is, I wouldn't need a tuning unit, just the antenna and service and the receiver has the stations pre-programmed or something.
I'm thinking that I would have to use XM if I wanted to do it without an external tuner.
But my plan is to get an external portable radio anyway, so that I can use it in truck-golfcourse-home anyway. So maybe it's pointless.

So how are you going to hear all the crowd noise after you hit your next hole-in-one?

To answer your question, no. Just get one of the Sirius Sporster or the like. You can run it into the aux on the home stereo or use the fm transmitter.
I have one and it works great. I switched from xm to Sirius.

Sure, just get a beta player and run it into the aux input on your vhs.

one post asking another question
one post imagining stuff
one post bitching about the noise
one post about VHS tapes
and one legitimate response to my question.
I love this place.
