One of my best friends from all the way back to elementary school lost his mom today after a fairly long and tough illness; i spent so much time at their house in my late teen's and early 20's she was pretty much a second mom to me; we played cards there, watched a ton of OU football, and threw one hellacious bachelor party in the house they also had next door when we were 19; i don't know if i've been hit this hard by a death in many years; please keep my friend Alan and his sister Deana in your thoughts and prayers as they are both going through a pretty tough time right now.
