Be sure to take plenty of oxycotin for the stretching of the mouth for the following comment.

"Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it,"

Really, he should stay away from commenting on the NFL since he's managed to stick his head up his *** the last two times he's made comments.

Does this have something to do with race? Here's something else:

Freshman Rep. Stephen I. Cohen, D-Tenn., is not joining the Congressional Black Caucus after several current and former members made it clear that a white lawmaker was not welcome.

"I think they're real happy I'm not going to join," said Cohen, who succeeded Rep. Harold Ford, D-Tenn., in a majority-black Memphis district. "It's their caucus and they do things their way. You don't force your way in. You need to be invited."

Cohen said he became convinced that joining the caucus would be "a social faux pas" after seeing news reports that former Rep. William Lacy Clay Sr., D-Mo., a co-founder of the caucus, had circulated a memo telling members it was "critical" that the group remain "exclusively African- American."

Other members, including the new chairwoman, Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, D-Mich., and Clay's son, Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-Mo., agreed.
-------------------

Now, really, this is no big deal to me. But what you need to ponder is this: what if there was a Congressional White Caucause that excluded all minorities?

Someone would be raising hell. But I guess it's okay for some groups to segregate and exclude others.

Jerk, you should know by now that "supposed racism" is a booming. Statements like that only affect two different people:
1) Those who are looking for an excuse to be offended, or
2) those who profit of those who are looking to be offended.

Nothing from Rush's statements are racist. I like ScottD, but it seems he is trying to take issue from a person that he does not think is credible. Or, maybe he does like him, since he is giving attention to Rush.

In fact, the players should be mad for getting compared to known gangs, but not upset on race.

I don't see where Scott stated why he thought it was stupid. He just said it was stupid. And it was, for a multitude of reasons.

He is refering to Rush's statements about McNabb. and saying someone has their head up rectum is refering to them as stupid. Both issues are "race related".

I didn't see a whole lot wrong with it, other than it being a kind of poor analogy.

It is..you're right. I'm just trying to make a point.

I've been listening to Rush on and off for 15 years. I've never heard him advocate or talk about practicing segregation or exclusion. So I just wanted to share a story about people actually doing such things.

Oh, I wasn't talking about your deal with the Black Caucus. That's grist for another mill.

I just didn't think Rush's analogy was particularly apt.

Or maybe you were agreeing with me on that.

I dunno. I'm in day two of orientation for a job I've already had, so I'm a bit tuned out.

No, Phil puts you through "initiation."

Or at least that's what Beano said when he showed up at my house in the zipper-up rubber suit.

Never said it was about race, was more about the irresponsibility of someone whom has far too much sway over people....kinda like ESPN.

I haven't seen too many blood or crip gangs where the leader of the gang is white.

so you're saying Rush has convinced America that the NFL is full of gang bangers? I'd give radio listeners a bit more credit that those that watch ESPN 3 hours a day.

more like your overwhelming data is incomplete because it's only generated by the locality upon which you reside. I'm sure it's not a higher percentage of Mexicans that are child molesters in say... North Dakota.

nah, more like he intentionally said something like that specifically to start crap. Apparently he said something similar about the NBA not long ago either. Personally I'm waiting for him to dig in on Baseball and Golf now.
