And it's a little embarrassing at how much man love I must have for the guy. He was about the only thing going for us in the mid-90's, so he's been one of my favorites for a while. Enjoy.

Don't forget Stephen Alexander!

I'll leave Stephen to somebody else. Of course, I agree that he was also a bright spot in those dark times. As was Demond Parker and a handful of other players.

First of all, let me congratulate you on doing a wonderful job. That's a great wiki on a wonderful athlete and individual. Second, I like to provide some suggestions if you don't mind.

1. Maybe change up the opening summary a little. I like up to the professional career part. Rather than mentioning his tearing of Ray Lewis' ACL, maybe you could talk about where he was drafted, him starting out on the practice squad, and finally working his way up. That might be too much for an intro, but I'll leave that up to you.

2. Maybe you could add more about his sooner career. I'd love to see stats like you have for his pro-career.

3. Finally, you might want to double check the North High School thing. I think that North and Santa fe HS opened in the Fall of 1994. At this time the Edmond schools split into three with Memorial being the original school (My Alma Mater :D). I'm not possitive, but my sister started HS in 2004 and I think that was the first year of the seperation. However, it might have been the second. At the most, Kelly only graduated from Edmond North.

Overall, wonderful job. I love it.

Zach

I didn't put the ACL thing. Somebody else added that. Wiki allows just about anybody to post on it. I'll try to get rid of that.

I have not a clue about the Edmond North thing. I just spruced that piece up to make it look nicer. Anything definitive on that?

Fixed the BS ACL comment. Still waiting the HS fix. I need to see about getting the official stats from 1995-1998 from the Athletic Department.

I updated some stuff on the wiki. I am missing all stats from 1995 and 1996. I don't know his Yardage on the sacks he got in 1997 and I don't know his UT/AT for 1998. Anybody with these stats could really help. Any other suggestions would help.

I had to nix the pictures, because of the wikipedia copyright policy.

Unless someone beats me to it, I'll try and look up those stats for you in the media guides tonight.

I thought the same thing too. I was sure he went to plain ole Edmond. Even before it was memorial. But I've been wrong before.:O

Everything I can find (including a 1995 Athlon Magazine) has him coming from Edmond North. He's listed in the state wrestling champions list as being from Edmond North all three times he won the title (1993, 1994, 1995).

I also got started on the Stephen Alexander wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Alexander

I'm missing a bunch on his OU and HS days.

Alright, I just talked to my sister and I think I've got the HS thing figured out. according to his stats, he played at OU in the 95-98 seasons. Assuming he didn't read shirt, that would mean that he started in the fall of 95 and graduated in the spring of 99 (football years are based on the fall semester) and was drafted in 99. That would mean that his last year of HS was in the 94-95 term. My sister graduated in 98 which would mean that the 94-95 term was her first at Memorial. She also told me that was the first year the HSs were broken up. So, Kelly would have spent the 94-95 year at North, the 93-94 year at Memorial (when it was the only HS) and his freshman and sophomore years at one of the junior highs. I am pretty sure this would explain it. The only thing that could throw a wrench into this would have been if he red shirted. Which considering OU's struggles at the time of his tenure, I doubt he did.

Well, what started out as a quick little research project turned out being longer than it should due to more media guide inconsistencies.

Thanks, Soonerstats. You rock!

I have now started three wikis:

Kelly Gregg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_Gregg)
Stephen Alexander (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Alexander)
Rickey Dixon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickey_Dixon)

I appreciate all the help. I am going to start a new thread asking everyone to help with the wikipedia project.
