And besides, the new found congress just raised the oil companies taxes (nice work in the first '100 days') and simple common sense let's us know they're going to pass those taxes on to the consumer. Prices are going to go back up. :mad:

ugh...It is still over $2/gallon here. It is getting close to going under $1 (and may already be under $2 where my mom lives - gas prices are lower around her house)...Cheapest around our house is $2.04.

I think the demand and capacity for diesel has gotten out of whack with what we are used to seeing, and that is holding it higher.

Mongo - I think the deal with Diesel is the new envoronmental standards are making it more costly to refine it, so they pass the cost on to customers. You can look that up to be sure, because that is just what I heard.

yeah, the low sulphur is a bunch of crap. EPA types have caused such restrictions, that the cost of manufacturing goes up. Not to mention the different octanes reguired by some vehicles. That also jacks it up.
