If he would have retired sooner, say two weeks ago, Dallas could have started its coaching search then. Now they will have to see who's available and get whose left.

Wow. Not shocked but I did kind of expect him to return for another year.

It will be interesting to see who they bring in.

Barry Switzer is better than Parcells. At least he could win a Superbowl with the Cowboys.

on cold pizza (which sucks, i just had it on in the background, i promise) ya'lls boy skip bayless said, when talking about ou fans i guess, that "they're down on him, they'd probably be ok good riddance" about coach stoops going to the cowboys, and something about the last two or three years have basically sucked. what an anal cavity....

The biggest question is why he waited this long to announce, seems like a little jab to me but what do I know.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The a-hole makes the team wait for 2 weeks for a decision we pretty much knew the whole time.

Well, his first day at the Stamford office he brought tuna for lunch, and the annoying guy that got Dwight fired has called him that ever since.

I think Bayless deserves the LOOOPICA treatment. Does he have any books on Amazon.com that need to be reviewed?

According to Dallas radio everything is Tuna's fault.....do these people remember where the Cowboys were before he got here.

As long as Jerry Jones is the owner of the Cowboys they're not gonna go anywhere. He's got his hands into too much of the decision making that should be up to the coaches. He doesn't know squat about how to run a team IMO.

The only reason why JJ and Switzer did so well is they didn't put up with his s**t and it's also the reason why they left.

It wasn't because of Jerry that they won those games. And I haven't seen them win any since Switzer left. I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Well, he did hire Jimmy...and Barry.

Yes, he did. I'll give him credit for that. But Jimmy and Barry didn't let Jerry get his hands in the cookie jar like Jerry wanted. That's why there was so much disention between them. Since Barry left Jerry has more input into the coaching of the team and it has hurt Dallas tremendously. There isn't a strong coach out there that wants the head coach position because of Jerry's reputation as Owner and GM.
