Light a fire with dry wood first, then put it in. ;)

yeah, I did. now the wet wood is sorta started. still slow though. making lots of HISSING sounds.

Actually, I would put the wet wood in the fireplace, but not directly on the fire- that will dry it out something quick.

Brought the wood I needed into the garage for that reason. Hope you got a fire going by now.
