Aggie -10 over Aggie Lite

A&M reminds me of OU under Sampson....smoke and mirrors.

I agree....they haven't beat anyone...but then again, you know they will be treating this game like their chance to prove they can play, and they'll bring their A game fo' sho'....and we've seen what happened to OSU last time they played a quality opponent on the road.

Are you kidding me. Texas A&M has, in my opinion, the best coach in the Big 12 and one of the best teams.

Kelvin Sampon would have matched up well with a Moe Iba Nebraska team pre-shot clock. The final score would have been 4-2 in six overtimes. You pick the winner.

That and the fact you may have underestimated A&M.

home court can play such a huge part in college bball as well, but aTm is solid, okie lite coming off the huge game against saxeT...lots of factors

I agree about the home court too. I never said I thought A&M would go through the conference undefeated but they are a solid top 15 team.

I agree, they play a deliberate style but have some of the best players in the conference and Gillespie (sp?) is the real deal as a coach.

I can remember a game when Moe Iba's dad coached Oklahoma A&M to a 2-0 win over the Sooners. Thiis game led to the goal tending rule. A&M's 7 foot Bob Kurland couls stick his hand tghrough the bottom of the basket and keep anyuthing from going through.

Did you know Moe Iba was an assistant coach to Don Haskins at Texas Western when they beat Kentucky for the title in 1966?

Along with the rest of the nation.

They're good, but quite overrated.

OSU is probably was a little overrated. They are a top 25 team but I think they are 4th best in the Big 12. A&M is a lot like a couple of the early Sampson teams at OU. Not deep with talent but has a couple guys that can score and the team plays tough defense and wins ugly. Like those teams they will be in every game they play, especially at home but they are a candidate for losing a couple road games they shouldn't and could lose early in the tourney.

OSU can't do anything on the road. This batch of players, for whatever reason, play like complete morons on the road. Neutral site, they're ok. Home game, they're ok. But anything played on the actual floor of the home team, they'll lose. Bet against them every time.

OSU at home is a top 10 team. On the road, they play like they are ranked #30, usually.

Tex a&m is very good, experienced, and well-coached. They may be the best team in the Big 12 at the end of the season. KU should peak in the next few weeks then struggle after the Big 12 tourney.

Deal.

This team has played well at home when the crowd has been subpar to terrible. Tonight, the crowd will be in it for the first time all year and I think it will light a fire under this team.

gimme OU -6.5

OU 71 TT 59

They were impressive last night. I think I just hate the fact that they are good.

What impressed me was the fact they had two starters foul out and several guys in serious foul trouble but they just kept pouring on the gas. I think Texas was planning on them milking the clock and looking for a shot in the 25-35 second shot clock range with about 6-7 minutes left but they pushed the ball and never got out of their offense.

A&M may not have the best players in the league but they are the best TEAM and have IMO the best coach in the league. In a couple of years JC might be but right now I go with BG.

Capel's situation right now reminds me a little bit of BG's situation a few years ago. Now that the younguns he started with and a few of his recruits are in town, he's flying high. Hope we have even better success.

Yeah one big difference though, Capel is not gay. :twinkies:
