j/k, since you know some feds, is it true that when the FBI found out who killed the girl in Purcell that they withheld this info from the Purcell PD, for fear that they (purcell pd) would kill the suspect?

I have nothing but respect for the FBI- but sometimes they should "let" things happen. Like, they have to protect the Westboro Baptist people at military funerals..that would suck.
