View Full Version : Where are they now?

Ive seen these in SI before and was interested in hearing about Past OU football players and what they are doing now? So if anyone has any factual accounts of what they might be doing with their lives now it would be cool to hear??

MiccoMacey

Make sure that those you post about want their lives posted on an internet forum.

Some people like their privacy.

I'd hate to see an ex-lineman at my door step for "updating" his world to others when he wanted to remain anonymous.

Just a tip.

I understand...and I'm not saying this in a bad way...just some people are more into their anonymity.

Like me, a fireman who works at 91st and Sheridan here in Tulsa, a fire station only three miles from my house at 101st and Mingo. I want my privacy. I wouldn't want anyone posting any updates about me. :D

Bradley doing pretty good.... Event brandon Jones caught some pass from VY with the Titans

Brandon Jones did more than just catch a few passes. VY can thank him for his rookie of the year honors. I watched most of the Titans games this year, and at the end of the year, when VY got hot, Jones was the one snagging the God awful passes and taking the hits that VY lead him right into. We've been lucky to have soooo much talent come through the Sooners program over the past 6-7 years. I don't think the Sooners have ever had so many guys starting in the Pro's, anyone know for sure? I know quite a few guys from the mid-80's teams went on to good pro careers, but this many?

See, the thing is, in the United States, if you get into trouble, serve your time, do your probation/parole according to the rules, and then get into working in the community, helping others to recover from the ravages of drug abuse and living an exemplary life, many people will say that you are a success story. A few D*ck heads will always look to the mistakes you made and call you a loser.

People make mistakes.

Yes, and you have to pay for your mistakes. You can't always just wave a magic wand and have all the misery you created go away. Some people will never forgive you, so act like a decent human being.

BTW, Charles Thompson's behavior was not a mere mistake. He sold cocaine deliberately. He knew the activity was illegal at time and understood the implications. He did it anyway.

Are that many people that look down on OU because you had a QB with drug issues in the 80's?

Yes, which is why we try to instill in our athletes that they represent the university and that the misdeeds they perform have long-lasting implications. Otherwise, it wouldn't matter and we wouldn't care what our athletes did.

BTW, Charles Thompson did not just have "drug issues." He was involved in the selling of cocaine.

Need I remind everyone that the FBI had him targeted for even bigger things? His illegal activities could have been even farther reaching. We were just damn lucky.

I've never had to beg your forgiveness. And why is that?

The thing is...people are still doing drugs these days. They still continue to abuse them and ruin not only their own lives but the lives of their families too.

CT has straightened out his life since then. He was a huge target back then. There were plenty of folks just as guilty as he was during that time.

Most of us could care less whether you forgive him...

I just think you are an ******* for continuing to think he ruined the University. The guy is an example of how to turn a life around and hopefully will help keep others from repeating those mistakes. He took his punishment like a man.

You act like he hasn't done any penance in regards to his incarceration.

Your judgement nor your opinion of him makes any difference to most of us.

Well, YOU must.

He took his punishment like a man? Like he had a choice?

I don't care. He cannot undo the damage that he did. As I said before, some mistakes are permanent. That's just the way it is.

Your judgement nor your opinion of him makes any difference to most of us.

You play this game constantly. "No one cares what you think, Lizard." But then you will cry on and on about everything I say. And in every freakin' thread you can find me in. It doesn't matter the topic, you have to post something in response to whatever I state.

If you don't care what I think, prove it by not responding to my posts. They have this ignore feature. Use it.
