View Full Version : Prayers for my Father please...

He's 78 and had a Quadruple Bypass 2 years ago.

A few months ago he had to have his pacemaker replaced.

Last week they did some nuclear Medical tests on his circulatory system and although it wasn't perfect...it wasn't all that bad for his age.

I'm stuck at the house for awhile till my Wife gets Home to keep the kids.

My Brother-in-law ( a Doctor ) is taking him into the ER as we speak.

He is sluring his words and not making sense...it looks as though he's had a small stroke at this point.

Anyway...Everyone here has always been so supportive about these types of things when it comes to needed prayers...

TIA

thanks, guys. he's pretty scared right now.

my sister called me on thurs. and told me about my dad, then 30 secs. later she told me my mom had been missing for 3 days. we put her on the missing persons' list. her cell phone was on but she didn't answer. the porch light was on, the dogs were left inside (very strange if you know my mom) and my dad was in dallas.
well, she answered her phone yesterday and said she was on her way back from purcell, where she was visiting a friend.

so it's been a pretty tough couple of days.

one question though, if you don't get cell phone service, does your phone ring or just go to voicemail? she said she didn't hace service out there. i call bs.

If she is with Verizon, it will go to voicemail. I know that for a fact considering where I live, reception is a hit and miss. When I go down the hill, I get all my messages.

You folks are awesome!

Saw Dad this morning and he's much better.

We even took him his CD player and a few of his favorite CDs.

I think he started off with a little Duke Ellington to get things going...

I slipped in a Stevie Ray Vaughn just to keep it real...:D

Thanks to you all for your prayers...

good to hear troup.

my dad went to the hospital on mon.

the doc told him he had 3 options:

-a shot once a week for 8 weeks (radiation)

-a one-time shot where they inject pellets straight into the prostate (poor dad)

-or remove his prostate altogether.

i've never heard of the pellet treatment but it sounds like he might be leaning towards that.

anybody know from indirect or direct experience, or have any knowledge on any of these options?

tia.
