I got it from work to use at home, which the techie said was A-OK. Unfortunately, the product key he gave me sucks.

the product key probably works, it's just that one is a normal user and either the disk or key is for a corporate edition
I have Office at home but it doesn't include Access. That's what he supposedly gave me to install but the key doesn't work.....he wrote it down and said of the 8's might be B's and the some of Y's might be 4's.
Thanks, that's only about 1,000 combinations.
I have the key. It's right here in my pocket.

open office is a free software package that is a competitor with microsoft office. it's not AS good, but it's free, and LEGAL. and you can open microsoft files, and save in a format exactly like microsoft files. it's not spectacular, but it gets me by at home when I'm not in the office.
