Might as well drink, "cain't drive nowhar fer shiyet."

I'm enjoying a tasty Newcastle. When my bride returns home from earning money catching babies, maybe we'll do the horizontal bop.

I even made a special trip to the likker store to lay in supplies of room temperature "strong" beer.

Anyhoo my homies, stay safe, stay warm, and pray for them OG&E, PSO bubbas 'cuz they are gonna be "busy as whore when the fleet's in" this weekend.

#5 Beyonces. While everyone else went to the Walmarts last night to get stuff like water, milk, batteries, etc., I got the important stuff like 3 cases of beer. Hell, the weather can cause havoc on the highways, but the road to drunkytown is always clear. :D

Got some Boulevard Pale Ale to start. Will have to choose between Bridgeport India Pale Ale or Fat Tire next (Sis brought up from Texas).

I made sure to stop at the liquor store yesterday. I might freeze or run out of water if the electricity goes out but at least I'll have beer.

We forgot to stock up on beer, so I cracked open a couple bottles I got as Christmas gifts and mixed up a little cocktail. And holy mackerel... it's ummmm-ummmm good.

Hmmm. No beer left in the place and I'm out of rum. That leaves tequila, vodka, irish whisky, and about half a bottle of sake.

I think I'll finish off the sake first.

OhU1

New Belgium Fat Tire for this round. If I had some New Belgium Abbey Ale left I'd be tempted to have that as it seems more appropriate for the weather.

I'm stuck in Lawton tonight. The venture to Norman would not be wise. Supposedly the "I-44 corridor" from Wichita Falls to Tulsa is ground zero for the icy hell falling from above.

The last time I did any drinking, I ended up with about 6 'happy snatch' shots in me - equal parts Tequila Rose and Hot Damn. That was on top of the 6 or 7 beers I needed to make drinking Tequila Rose and Hot Damn sound like a good idea.

I'm laying off the sauce for a while. :O

The Bridgeport India Pale Ale has been very good. Pick it up and a 6'er of the ESP when you get a chance, great stuff. This round I am back to Boulevard Pale Ale out of Kansas City. Boulevard is as close to a local beer as we have here in Oklahoma. All of Boulevard's brews are solid. Boulevard does not sell beer in Texas. Boulevard has their roots in the Midwest and that is their target market. All Boulevard beer is packaged in boxes from Love Box Company out of Oklahoma City. So give the dudes at Boulevard a try, you won't regret it!

Yeah I know about Choc. Because of our Bible Belt laws it is basically brewed as a near beer. Too bad. Boulevard is the nearest to a local quality brewer IMO.
