My Sooner wife asked that I post this. It's a really good article about a former Sooner who never got the press that others did. It sounds like he's got a hell of a lot of heart:

(My apologies if someone has already posted this)

Thanks for posting that. Gregg's wrestling skills have always been put to good use.

No doubt. Alot of heart indeed. A guy who just wants to play ball.

One of my all-time favorites. I still keep up with him.

I love me some Buddy Lee.

Dusty will either be disappointed or relieved. He hasn't decided which yet :D

He's like Rudy of the NFL. Only good.

I thought he had been with the Ravens longer than that. hmmmmm...

The article did not specify if it was FBI or SS, either of which qualify as Feds to most people.

The whorns I've talked to are silent and smirky. IOW, just a normal day.

Those were the days that on defense all you would do is watch Kelly. It was fun. I didn't realize rex ryan was dc of ravens now, good for him.

He still lives in Edmond during the offseason. He's been known to lift with the local high school students. And on top of that, he's my parents neighbor. I just hope I can some day meet him. My dad and I keep up with him whenever we can, and now that Devers out, Baltimore is our Playoff team.

If you remember he returned a fumble something like 70 yard earlier in the season. Didn't make the TD, but got it down inside the 10. He really deserves to get a pro-bowl before he's done. He's a heck of a player.

I particularly like the picture they used (tackling Rothlesberger without a helmet).

The Ravens and the Bears seemed to show Sooners more respect than do the other franchises.

That is an awesome article. I love the inside story on how some guys wind up making it in the NFL, love that stuff.

I had a class with the guy my first time around at OU. Nice guy. I never really thought he was that big though. Every time I went to that class (which, admitedly, back then, wasn't often) he was there. He's been all we, as Sooners, really had to hang our hats on, NFL-wise, until recently...

Awesome post. I have seen that posted here for a while, and for some reason just now got around to reading it. This article is another one of those that makes you wonder how many poeple there are out there that didn't get that chance, and could have been dominant in their career if they would have got that 1 chance. That's what kills me about the NFL, they are all about numbers, numbers, numbers...paper, paper, paper. How tall is he? How high can he jump? What does he bench press? The question they all miss is, How big is his heart?
