I always watch these games. Not because I want to get an edge on my fantasy football roster, but because it marks the end of the season, and I watch them to keep from getting depressed.

The Senior Bowl is the one to watch, if you have to pick one.

The NFL scouts and GM's are basically given carte blanche on who they want invited to the game, and every talent evaluator in the league will be in town for the practices and workouts.

There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth around the SEC when favorite players from the conference don't get invited. It's not because they weren't good college football players. It's that the NFL doesn't think they'll be very successful at the next level. The guys you see playing in that game are the ones who will be playing on Sundays next year.

I've seen (read) where NFL teams used to play college All Star or National Title teams (years ago), I think a NFL team vs. a NCAA Sr. All Star team would be very cool. Not an NFL all star team, that wouldn't work so well.

Of course, with injury risks and the allmighty dollar, it'll never happen.

Does anyone know if players are allowed to play in more than one allstar game?

The NFL league champ used to play a college all-star team to kick off the exhibition season. In fact, one of the Packers' teams in the '60s lost to an all-star college team. I think it ended pretty soon after that.
