It's got 114,000 miles, 1 owner, new tires, a little parking lot acne is the only damage.

Nissan executives gathered together in a steam bath in 1989 and came up with the idea of building a new car in the style of a 1950's domestic appliance. The result was the Figaro and it was available in such delightful colours as "Solitary Confinement Grey" and "Festering Wound Green". Not available directly in the UK, but was extremely popular in Japan, and was imported to the UK in small numbers for the likes of Vanessa Feltz.

They do it every Wednesday night?

It's a bit of a trip.

I know a wholesaler in New Braunfels named Randy Adams. I might see if he can hook me up too.

I have the inside track on a '94 Infinity Q45.

Sound good?

That's pretty old.

I think a 94 Honda might be a better car than an infinity.

Having said that, I should disclose that I just bought my wife unit a 2007 G35.

I'd still go with the old reliable if you are looking for something that old.

I know where you can get a 1996 Cougar for that price. It has, I think, around 37k original miles and outside of a tuneup and some brakes, it has no other problems that I'm aware of. It's been sitting for a while though.

meh.

Two door. The kids are a pain to travel with even without that inconvenience.

It doesn't sound bad except for the sitting a while thing. Why isn't anyone driving it?

have you thought about an Impreza? :D

The owner is in a nursing home and I just haven't tried to sell it yet.

Could I interest you in a small house in Muskogee while we're at it?

A little small.

yermom
1/8/2007, 04:12 PM
Legacy? :D

i guess the Civic would be a bit small as well, maybe an Accord?

i think it's hard to beat the Hondas for cars that would still be worth a damn in that price range

Accord, camry, altima, maxima or fancy equivalents are the best option at this point.

That 94 Q45 may be the ticket. The only problem is the distance to get it.

Interesting info.

I found out from a local wholesaler that it's just hard to get a good car cheap down here. So many of them are bought up at auction and taken to Mexico. He's sold cars that didn't even run for $1500 and $2000 recently. He's been getting more at auction than he's been able to sell cars for at his lot.

Therefore, we have come full circle back to the Q45. We are getting it for a full grand under what he thinks he would get for it at auction down here.

That and we have 3 different acquaintances that are diehard Infinity owners. Actually owning the same model even.

Thanks to olevet for his offer of help and good luck to major crapper selling his.

Buy a Buick. In my family pretty much every one has a older Buick to rack up the miles on. We've been doing it for years. A Buick won't let you down. Park Avenue, Lesabre, it's doesn't matter, they'll treat you right.

Buick is an old people car.

Hope that helps.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. Buicks are the most underrated thing going.

My parents drive a Buick. Same thing I told my Dad.

He said "well, I am old".

they do. Of course, it's 6 years old and only has about 17,000 miles on it.

so did you buy the Infiniti? I guess I should have read this earlier. I own a 96 4 door Honda Accord that is actually in San Antonio. New tires, new transmission, about 165,000 miles.

Which why buying used Buicks kick *** because they were driven by old people first.

I guess you get a neg for not contributing this information earlier.

I might know someone else that would be interested though.
