In modern times, he's right up there.
Other recent white college WR's off the top of my head:
Chris Doering, Florida
Derek Abney, Kentucky
Matt Davison, Nebraska (made the kick that led to game-tying TD vs. Mizzou in '97)
Bobby Chase, SMU
Rossi Morreale, Arkansas (later became a host of various TV shows)
Vinny Sutherland, Purdue
Dickey Lyons Jr., Kentucky (caught TD pass in bowl win over Clemson last week)

Good call on Dwight. Ed Hinkel is another Iowa receiver of recent vintage, he played so long for the Hawkeyes, Bob Stoops claimed him as a teammate.
