I don't mean to sound like an ogre, but their fans were outright mean and nasty to Oklahomans visiting their fair state in 2003. They would throw four letter words and other sh!t at us for days.

While it's hard not to feel bad for a hurricane-damaged state, it's hard to not forget the inhospitable, drunk, dirty-mouthed "cajuns."

As for Notre Dame, I don't care. OU had a conference to defend Monday, and Notre Dame has nothing to defend, other than itself. Zzzz.

So, who do you hate more?

...lsu.

MamaMia
1/3/2007, 08:00 PM
Its a toss up for me. Notre Dame and LSU are on my top 5 list of teams I totally dislike. Now that Miles is the coach for LSU, I cant stand them even more, however I do think he and the LSU Tigers are a good fit.

While I hate both teams, no question here. Notre Dame.

Mainly because I live in Indy, and go to Middle School.

EVERYONE is required to bow down to the awe-power of Notre Dame here:rolleyes:
OOOOOONOTRE DAME!!

They are the greatest, nobody can beat them!

I'm with you. It's almost like it is too sickening to watch because you know one of those turd programs will win. By turd I mean Lester or All-time overrated domers. Or I guess Whorns or SUC could fall under the turd banner as well. Wurd of the day is turd.:)

I sort of like LSU (inlaws from Louisiana) but the Lester factor kills it for me. The only time I pull for ND is against SUC so I am probably leaning towards LSU tonight. We'll see. If ND starts whipping their arse and Lester gets riled up, I could really enjoy that, too.

Question for the board while it's half time:

If they both came out, and you had the NFL pick, as of now who would you pick:
Russell or Quinn?

I know a lot goes into the equation but, for argument's sake, let's just say all else is equal (meaning all you need at this point in the draft is QB and others like Smith and the kid from Hawaii are unavailable).

I think I'd take Russell, not only for his measurables but he seems to have a quicker release, more arm strength and more decisiveness in the pocket than Quinn.

Tiptonsooner
1/3/2007, 10:31 PM

Yeah, I'd agree with that. He doesn't seem fazed by the pressure or the situation. Unfortunately, that also led to him thinking he could get the ball away while being tackled leading to a fumble.

Still, I like his ability to get the ball out, with velocity, very quickly once he's found the target.

Lester seems surprisingly subdued - must be that proper fitting cap. ;)

Les Miles win 2 BCS bowl games in 2 years. LSU coaching staff is good.. very good.

This is the first BCS bowl game Les has coached in.

Yeah, I think LSU thumped Miami in the Peach Bowl last year. How does Lester get all the fun bowl matchups? Oh well, at least we get our shot at Miami next year.

This analysis of JR is interesting from a non-LSU fan perspective. Many wanted to see the backup (that started in the 40-3 destruction of Miami) after several of his fumbles earlier this year. Nobody's denying his absurd talent however.

16 first downs
293 yards of total offense
2 turnovers

Jeff Alphabetsoup 8 catches 59 yards 1 td
McKnight 3 catches 23 yards

someone remind me why we 'ran off' Bo Pellini.

I think speed was an issue. I distinctly remember OU's defense giving up lots of yards during that 2004 season and many here calling for his head after the USC debacle.

Maybe that and Chijoke didn't quite pan out at CB. :D

Thats what was so bad about it. The "kicker" wasn't even their normal kicker for the fake. #6 isn't the guy that ran the fake.

#41 Chris Jackson split time during the NC year doing the long FG's (40+) and kickoffs. He did all of the kicking, including punts, during the 2004 season, and during last year he went back to punts, long FG's and kickoffs. He injured his elbow at the end of last year and had to have Tommy John surgery, and I guess #6 Colt David won the placekicking job outright after that happened.

CJ still kicks off and punts however.

He played option QB at John Curtis high school in New Orleans. He's LSU's 3rd baseman as well.

I haven't gotten to watch either as closely as you guys. And JR does seem somewhat inconsistent, but during the game last night I thought he had way more upside than Quinn.

well being 6'6 262 lbs and being able to throw a ball 80 yards can do that ;)

heh, yeah, but the fact that he can short arm it 80 yards and it leaves a vapor trail on it's way there is what I really like!

I'd also take that big ol O lineman, 79, if for no other reason than he was a 15 lb. newborn.  ;)
