I hadn't clipped her nails in over a year and had really been thinking about doing so. We were outside and I was brushing her hair when she spotted a doe about 50 yards from us. She took off like a rocket, almost straight down 10 ft off the site and under a barbed wire fence. She never really had a chance but she chased that damned deer a few hundred yards. When the deer lost her, my animal circled around for a while. When she came back an hour later she was muddy, wet and bleeding. Poor thing. Maybe if I would have clipped her nails or she would have listened to me when I said NO she'd be OK. Looks like we'll be going to the Vet tomorrow.
