The whole nation is still talking about last night's game :O
The announcers said the game could convince smaller conferences to agree on a playoff system or something to that effect. It certainly added fuel to the playoff fire on a national level.
If you're a small conference, why would you not want a playoff? If they can keep the majority of bowl games around for the also-rans, what do you stand to lose? I wonder now if the sudden glut of bowl games for 6-6 teams plus the 5th BCS bowl is part of a plan already in place.
Maybe after it's all said & done, OU's 2006 campaign will've had a hand in replay officiating reform & an expedited playoff system :)
