This just in from Arizona: the gem-studded gold football is now missing. It was last seen on stage when Jared Zabransky laid it down in between the legs of his center. Allegedly, the Broncos' left guard pulled right, picked up the million-dollar football from between the center's legs, and swept around the right edge of the stage and ran clean out of the building.
When asked about the strange event, Boise State's Chris Peterson explained that they only had one trick play remaining in their entire play book . . . and so they figured they would just run the fumble-rooski during the trophy presentation.
They are still looking for the lineman, who apparently got a bit carried away.
