Whoa, really? I may have to try the repair route again. I just need the full size door.

Whaaaa? I bought a plain old, metal, double garage door a few years ago and it was nowhere close to that. You can find one much cheaper than that if you want I'm sure. Of course, it won't be insulated or have windows or anything....

$1000 Thats what I paid when I built my house for a good quality insulated 18' door with opener!

See, there's the difference.....insulated and with an opener. They can be had much cheaper if that's what you're looking for. Just sayin'.......

Yea and 85 probably already has the rails and all. Yea just the door would be much cheaper.

We got a double-wide, insulated garage door from Overhead Garage Door a couple of years ago. They also had the best guarantee. It was under a 1,000 for parts and labor.

Yeah, all I really need is the door and I don't really want to spend alot because we may be moving in the next year or so.

just get some of them cool hippie beads that you hang in a door way.

maybe something that shows jim morrisons face.

that would be cool.

You could make them out of a conductive material and electrify them for security purposes.

Installing a garage door is one thing I would never recommend someone do on their own. Always hire it out you can really get hurt working on them.

An insulated garage door is a big deal if you are concerned about tornados. When houses get blown away, the caving in of the garage door is the most likely culprit, hence the demand for insulated doors.

Also, you can get a metal door with wood cross sections that make it look like a very expensive all-wood door when it only costs a couple hundred more.

Just board it up. It's time to give the family a new family room. You can just park outside.
