I'll have to agree w/ Rhino on the Chili's Chicken Ranch Sandwich.

Boffingham introduced me to the Cracker Barrell breakfast while in Pennsylvania.

I'll go to Buffalo Wild Wings any day of the week for their selection in wings.

Charleston's baked potato soup

if Charleston's counts, I'd say their hickory-cheddar burger.

or, here in Denver: there's a chain of green chile mexican joints called Santiago's--about 11 of them in the area. their chicharones and bean burrito smothered with the hot chile (and cheese) is pretty friggin good. carnitas and bean stuffed sopapilla smothered is out-a-site.

i'm not a fan of "casual" ("flair") dining places, generally. but most can muster up a decent burger and fries--anything else is pretty much plastic food and "taste science" loaded with flavor enhancers and such.

Used to be the Balsamic Chicken at Johnny Carino's but they stopped making it.

Now I'd say On the Border's Enchiladas Suizas.

i hate on the border....of course i'm spoiled by good tex-mex restaurants ;)

my biggest bitch with chain restaurants is how absolutely crappy the service can be

I think I would go with either the farfalle at Cheesecake Factory or the Kung Pao Chicken at Chang's/Pei Wei. I will temporarily lift my ban on chain restaurants for either dish.
