I feel your pain, OUinFLA. I used to think Cox Cable in Oklahoma stank to high heavens...but with Brighthouse, I know they do not stink alone.

oh well, doesn't sound like a game I would want to watch anyway.

Doesn't it always seem that the Big XII teams are playing higher ranked competition in the bowl games? Maybe it is just me.

OU will beat Boise State and texass will beat Iowa. This is a two team conference. I'm pretty sure last year the Big 12 won the most bowl games. What does that prove? P.S. That was a nice choke job by Mizzou today.

I look at it differently. I hope the Big 12 teams outside of OU do badly. It'll help OU's recruiting in the guys of the guys considering Big 12 schools.

well, for one thing, it proved that when that happened, espn quit talking about it.

if the big least wins it this year, you will hear about it ......forever.

Other than the whorns, we pretty much run rough shot over the others in recruiting. Neb and osu occasionally get one but not often. I always want texass to get beat, but the others winning their bowl game I think helps bring some respect to the conference. Which, helps us a little in the strength of schedule and rankings etc.

If they didn't puff up their records with cream-puff non-conference wins they wouldn't be playing such tough competition come bowl time. Karma's a badass beech. What did your Mom always tell you "just because everyone else is doing it...doesn't make it right."

I went to the KState / Rutgers game. It was alright until the second half. KState offense did not show up at all. Meanwhile, Rutgers looked pretty good. I felt embarrassed for the KState fans...

I dunno.. 1971 perhaps (i.e., Nebraska Number 1, OU Number 2 and Colorado Number 3 in the final polls).

We were just talking about that last night at the game. The Year OU, Nebraska, and CO finished in the top 3.

Yeah baby.. yeah. I do remember those good old days very well. It was a good thing to be a Sooner's fan in the 1970's.

Is it too late to suggest a logo change after 10 years as a conferance?

I'm glad Tech salvaged some Big 2 pride.

And I don't really think a weak conference helps OU in recruiting or otherwise, but I dunno.

okay, new rules on conference:

If you are OU, you are in the BIG conference.
If you win your bowl game, you are in the BIG conference.
If you lose your bowl game or did not make a bowl game, you will be designated as a "little" team.

So as such, we are the BIG 3 and other nine CONFERENCE right now. Out of respect to Tech for flipping off the Big 10 and OSU for not effing up against a crappy bama team (sorry tide, but you had no leadership, so its understandable. kudos for halftime speech, however), here is the NEW, improved conference logo:

So the way some teams or a team ends the season tells you how good a conference is? In 2004 OU's opponents went 4-2 in the Bowl season. USC's opponents went 2-4. Did that tell you a damn thing about the game?

The Big XII is far from "weak" for heavens sake. Our teams have alot of young players this season. Chin up! We'll be just fine. :)

I predicted the Big12 would go 4-4 before it started with wins by OSU, TT, UT and OU. Mo should have won, Tech shouldn't - but still on pace. Maybe the Corn can take care of Auburn.

Please don't tell me you've fallen into the camp of people who actually gauge a conference based on the bowl season . . . it's just an extra game with a bigger payout. :D

A&M and Rutgers had bad matchups for opponents. A 7-6 KSU had no business being paired against a 10-2 Rutgers. A&M simply has no athletes and they need to learn that option football's time has passed.

I agree about both (mis)matches. Rutgers and Cal are upper-third teams, aTm & KSU are lower-third.
