1st - interrupt game to watch Ford's casket get to the church.

Now - continue interruption with discussion of Saddam.

Great. Now, we're back to the game, just in time for the commercial break for halftime.

A bit crude, but you make a good point.

As I was considering making the above my new sig, I thought I'd sprinkle it around here, too.

Certainly I'm not a Missouri fan, but CBS owes me refund since I'm having to pay NASN to broadcast these bowl games. I won't charge them much. I'll pro-rate the refund for just this one day. That's a load of BS interupting the game like that for old news.

It's turning into a shootout. Man. Tigers now lead by seven, 38-31. Bet they're wishing they hadn't tried that dumb onsides kick to start the second half.

Just over six minutes to go.

Beavers score a TD, they're within a touchdown of Journalism U. now.

Turning into a good game.

And who knew that Journalism U. had a pretty good running back? If Dill Pickle Pinkel used Temple more against us, especially when we made that goal line stand when they had first and goal at the 1 but went into that stupid spread formation, it could've been a different game.
Not that I'm complaining of course.

cvsooner

Mizzou has the ball at midfield with 2:25 to go, having driven 30 yards. Go, clock, go..

AllAboutThe'O'
12/29/2006, 05:49 PM
'Course, with Dill Pickle Pinkel preferring to pass, OSU still gets to save its time outs.

cvsooner
12/29/2006, 05:50 PM
True dat. Now hopefully he'll get a punt off for more than zero yards like A & M's punter last night.

cvsooner
12/29/2006, 05:51 PM
Mizzou calls time out. Talk about helping out the other team...1:41 to go, 4th and 15.

AllAboutThe'O'
12/29/2006, 05:52 PM
Nice punt return by the Beavers. Rooting for them to stick it into the end zone. Who knows, maybe it'll come down to a Serna PAT a la LSU a few years ago.

cvsooner
12/29/2006, 05:53 PM
45 yard punt, returned for 38 yards. Sheesh. 1st and 10, Oregon State, at their own 45.

Wonder how this will rank among Tiger fans' anguish over the years?

Fifth down vs. Colorado in '90

Tyus Edney going coast to coast to knock Tigers out in '95 tourney.

The "kick" back in '97 (versus Nebraska)

Brut Sun Bowl collapse.

Yep, gotta hate being a Tiger fan sometimes.

To be fair, A & M and KSU were within four and seven points, respectively, at halftime of its games. They just didn't show up for the second half.

cvsooner
12/29/2006, 06:23 PM

Being at the game it was very entertaining. It definately was MIZZOU's game to win. Over 550 yards by Daniels and Temple. 99 times out of 100 = a win. Most of the fans at the airport were not happy with Pinkels play calling either.

Quotes from the tigers meltdown, these are hysterical...

Very much a real MU fan that's sick and tired of being embarssed by our athletic program. You'd think after all the times we've been kicked in the balls the pain would end. But no it goes on and on and on.

You're right, we are a sleeping giant. Just give us another 50 years and we might finish over .500 in the Big12. Great things are just around the corner for us MU fans. We've never heard that before.
