My friends have always told me that I'm about 10 years behind with my music. I always seem to finally start enjoying songs/bands about 10 years after they were released or became popular.

Keeping with that rule...I discovered the only Smashing Pumpkins song I've ever heard or liked, "1979", yesterday. I looked it up and low and behold it was released in 1996.

I still think of The Clash as one of those new bands...

I liked Creed when they first came on tour here in April of 97. Their first CD had some cool stuff on and they were a favorite at our HS. I wanna say they came to town like three times that year. Anyways, now they suck monkey balls.

The New Pornographers started in 96 I think. Isn't Neko Case their lead singer?

The New Pornographers started in 96 I think. Isn't Neko Case their lead singer? One of them. They have four primary singers and almost all of them lend some vocals.
