Was it a compound fracture? 'Cause if it wasn't a compound fracture, he should put an ace bandage on it and keep skiing. I know I would.

They're reporting it will require surgery and hardware...nails, spikes and cables.

I broke my femur completely in half when I was 5. Really thought I'd end up walking with a limp the rest of my life but I had an amazing orthopedic surgeon in Tulsa.

And, it was while he was exiting the ski lift. I guess the juice made his bones brittle.

I did that when I was 15, and since I was still growing and all, I was in traction for 6 weeks and in a bodycast for 6 months. AHHHNOLD got off lite.

I went through the same set up. Not fun.

I, like you, was fortunate to have a great orthopedic surgeon, otherwise, I'd
have a hellacious limp.

In Tulsa? Might have been the same surgeon. Was it Dr. Battenfield?

Negatory - Jackson, MS. Dr. Gene Barrett.

He's also one of the kings of arthroscopic knee surgery. He even did Andre' the Giant's knee.
