Depends - do you mind a few miles of detour?

Exit on Main Street in Norman - head east and go all the way downtown (until it turns one-way).

The Diner is on the north side of the street. Prepare to eat a LOT.

The Classen Grill (http://www.classengrill.com/523172.html). Also Beverly's (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=beverly%27s+oklahoma+city) or, in Edmond, Around the Corner (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=around+the+corner+edmond). YWIA.

Although, in retrospect, I don't know if I would classify any of those as necessarily "quick." More like old-fashioned sit-down places.

The plan is to leave Wichita around 4AM, we'll probably eat breakfast around the OKC area.

hmm, problem with a sit down breakfast is that its going to cause you to really push for time getting to the game......or it would seem so

i'd rather get to dallas, near the cotton bowl and eat then

I wasn't expecting a sit down, I just wanted to know if any of your local/slash regional places can beat an egg mcmuffin with their drive through stuff. Does Whataburger have breakfast, or Braums? That's what I was angling for or if there are still Hardee's with breakfasts out there.

whataburger has really good taquitos but they're very proud of them (price)

braums definitely has breakfast and as far as "fast" food goes, they'd probably be the best....

Cool. I figured I might as well try something new while I roll through the area given the time constraints I'm working with.

braums is never "fast"......well, faster than a sit down, but slower than a typical drive thru

We'll have to see what kind of time we're making then.

Jimmy's Egg is pretty good too. They've got a few locations around OKC.

It's also a sit-down place, though.

There's a Johnnie's Express at Main and Berry in Norman. Their breakfast beats the hell out of most other places.

Ponders Restaurant. Ardmore. Extremely easy access from/back to I-35.

You're welcome.

BTW, peem me with your # and we'll give you a call at the game. We're seated on the SEC side, but methinks you are too.

I can't believe Waffle House has not been mentioned yet.
Seriously?

Seriously?

Dude, for getting your grease hashed, dashed, smothered, covered, drizzled, drowned, globulated, and coagulated, who can beat the Waffle House?

Here's what you do husker:

Take exit 91 off I-35. Go left and just past the brandy new Walmart on your left is Ruby's Inn. Get the sausage and cheese omelette with jalapenos, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, and coffee. It'll cost you about $5. You will thank me. And it's not fast food, but they're very quick.

It's not even a quarter mile off the interstate.

Oh I can't believe no one's mentioned Coit's yet. There's one just off I-44 on Pennsylvania.

Ponders (though last time i was there it wasn't as good as i remember), Ruby's head the pack IMO of those suggested so far. don't know when Ballards in Pauls Valley opens. it used to be a good jalapeno burger and gravy fries, and is right off the interstate.

edit: typed Lily's when i mean Ruby's. Lily's is place i used to go in Nashville.

there just aren't many Coit's around anymore, huh?

Well, there's actually 3 of them still, which is surprising because you would think people would have figured out by now that they suck.

The Diner in Norman (get the kitchen sink) or Tiffany's in Noble (get the man ham).

Greasy, smoky, and blue collar. Just like home.

at the diner i like the hobo breakfast. would be worth the 10 minute trip off the interstate, IMO.

If I ran a place named Coit's I would sell t-shirts that say "Coit Us!"
