My 2 year old daughter has had a terrible couple of days leading into her first christmas that she has been able to get excited about. Yesterday she fell and fractured (occult fracture) her right elbow. Today after church she began to vomit and couldnt hold anything down all afternoon. back to the emergency room she has a high white cell count and will have to go back in at 10 am to check her again. If its still high or it stays the same, it looks like she will be admitted. I know Im missing some details but I am very tired.

anyhoo, she is just so uncomfortable right now and just feel bad for her. she tried to open up some presents at my grandmas today and she just stood there and cried. please pray she wont have to be admitted in the morning.

Thoughts and prayers for all of you.

So others won't have to look it up like I did, an occult fracture is one that doesn't doesn't show up on inital Xrays, but the clinical signs and symptoms are there. It usually shows up in a couple of weeks.

I am in too. I hate to see little kids hurt. They are old enough to feel the hurt but too young to understand.

Thanks guys for the prayers.Brooke is back home after a long day...Any trip to the ER is a all day event but she is doing better. We did get to come back home with her after getting some shots and just getting her to be able to hold some liquid down. Since she couldnt have food today, me and the wife stayed at home (Missed going to grandmas) and didnt eat today either so she wouldnt have to see or smell food. The main concern was dehydration because she is a tall but fragile 2 year old(40 inches tall, 27 lbs) who is so light that it doesnt take much for her to get dehydrated. But it was almost like someone snapped their fingers this afternoon and she went right back to being herself. Back in tomorrow for her elbow to see if anything comes up on that.

We told her she gets a special Christmas tomorrow thats just for her so she is pretty pumped up about that.

I hate to bump this but we had to take her in today after it started all over again today. really not sure whats going on but we had to admit her into the hospital so they could i v her and run tests. its so strange right now. anyway I just ran home so that I could get some clothes and go back...thanks for praying for her..

just got home with the brooke..long weekend for all of us.. she had 2 stomach viruses attached together(didnt know that was possible) and was severely dehydrated. finally was able to keep her food down and after getting plenty of I V fluids is back home.
