I might be a bad citizen of Northeast Tarrant county for hoping this...

But I wouldn't mind seeing somebody other than Carroll win the title next year. Dynasties that don't involve my team are boring. ;)

Hebron or Lewisville beats them next year. Write it down! :D

I don't think there's any question the state title was determined when SLC beat Euless Trinity.

And Brandon, you aren't alone in wishing for the end of the Dragon's reign... My wife has been wishing it for a couple years now (and she's not even from around here).

Decent little team out of TX no doubt.

Now, the real #1 is right in OUinFLA's backyard.

The game with Lakeland would be awesome, but Lakeland needed a last second goal line stand in order to win. Oaks Christian also had a close game, and i think they are overrated. John Curtis hasnt played any good teams this year, and i havent heard anything on Warren Central.

AND Southlake has a lot of juniors on their team.....

thats scary.

Dodge has instilled a pretty good system in Southlake. But it's not like every playoff game they've won has been a blowout. They've had to fight for a few wins the last three years.

how could you possibly know this ???

how could anyone actually determine a NC, when so few schools
play out of state ???

remember, the CA school that was no. one, 2 or 3 yrs ago, had won about 151
consecutive games.

beat euless trinity by 22 to 21.

Euless Trinity was the defending D1 state champion, and SLC just moved up from D2 this year after having been the D2 state champion.

Everyone expected it to be a good game, and it was. SLC needed a touchdown in the last minute to win. But Euless is probably a top 15 team in the nation this year, so SLC proved they werent just playing easy teams.

1st round-

SLC:35
Lewisville:0

2nd round was Euless Trinity game

Reg. Semis-

SLC:42
Odessa Permian:6 (yes, the school from Friday Night Lights)

Reg. Finals-

SLC:33
Coll Heritage:7

State Semis-

SLC:38

State Finals-

Except for the Euless Trinity game, which was expected to be close, all were pretty much 2 touchdown or more types of games.

If SLC played Lakeland, it would definately be a close game, but both would beat any other team in the nation right now.

He said the last three years, not just this year.

They won the 2004 Championship 27-24. They got to that game by winning 37-30 and another game 35-30
