Thanks for the comments. I really worked hard on it and I did the best with what I had to work with. There are no clips from RRS or Colorado, because I did not have access to any of those videos.

Even though it is nice to show my videos off to fellow Sooner fans, I make these for my nephew as a little something extra for Christmas.

There some things I wish I could have put in there. RS - Punt returns, more Rufus, More D in gerneral and more of our RB(other than AD). I know there is a slime chance that AD stays for his senior year, but I think this is a nice send off after the years of greatness he has given us.

How do yall like the countdown as the movie starts and the choice in music?

I would have it on youtube but the file it to big to upload.

I'm not sure you wanted to identify the Switzer years as being bad although it gives that perception with the SI story.

I had all kinds of trouble until I downloaded and used the "unplug" extension for firefox. Now the file happily resides on my computer.

The part of the video that I have been able to see is good...the other thread is a lot easier to view and see!!! Your video is much better though...just harder to access and view...

Overall I think it was awesome, I loved the last few minutes and the song went great. The black and white/color contrast was really awesome too.

A few things: I would say the pictures in the first part seemed to last too long. Also, it would be cool if you could intermix a few of the quotes before and during the season about how the sooners were going nowhere, as in Texas Golfer's sig.


BTW - who is the guy in the second pic in the vid? It looks like a drawing of a criminal on the FBI's most wanted and with that music in the background it gives me the creeps:eek:

In just about 2 hours my family will be viewing the video for the 1st time. I hope they like it! We have a Poke, Husker and even a Whorn in the family, so I am sure they will pick it to ****, but oh well. As long as my nephew is happy with it. I will be glad.

I watched it a couple more times ( suddenly loads better by the way, dont know why) and I noticed something new. I dont know if you did it on purpose, but the first chorus of "dream on" begins right when Nic harris gets his Nebraska interception from no where. Seems very fitting, as if he is saying to the Nebraska players "Dream on, like you are getting a touchdown" . :D

I'm not trying to be too critical, but I think it would have been better if you would have just focused on the Bomar deal, the Oregon fiasco, and AD's injury. All of the other stuff didn't really make any sense, and it made it look like we were sitting around looking for things to feel sorry for ourselves over. I wasn't quite sure what John Blake and Garry Gibbs had to do with the 2006 OU Football team.

Also, you have a LOT of time in that video that is not football action. It's a 7:45 minute video and at least 3:30 of those minutes are non-game action stuff, between the into and the slideshow at the end. So it's basically a 4 minute video. If you're going to make a 4 minute season highlight video, then you probably want to make it a lot more fast paced, similar to this one made my LASooner:

There were also a number of big plays that weren't represented in the video.

I was not going for the"feeling sorry" theme. I was just showing that OU has overcome a lot. Anytime they are faced with some kind of problem they seem to be able bounce right back. The Blake era was a hard time. If you noticed I had Prentice in there too. Thanks for the comments. I am no where close to being what LASOONER is! Not even on the same planet as that guy. I also do not have access to the programs he has. I try harder and harder every year and they get better and better. I always include a slideshow in my vids....that is just how I roll.

We are on the brink of another Sooner Football Season andI am excited about what the new year will have for us. Although last year we had some rough times, you have to admit that it made for an exciting year! In just 6 days the Crimson and Cream will be taking the field against the Mean Green of North Texas. The Sooners are going to take it to them, and start us off on another great year of college football in Oklahoma!

Last year after the Oregon game I learned a very valuable lesson. It is not a good thing to get so caught up in a sport that you lose sight of what is truly important. We get the chance to watch one of the Nations Best football teams play almost every Saturday. They are right here in our own back yard! Even though we love OUr Sooner most of us will ever be so important that we get to make the decisions on the football team. There is no room in football for shouldas, wouldas, or couldas. I am a fan not a volunteer assistant coach. Some people say the Bradford is not going to do much for us at QB. Personally I would like to see Nichol at the helm. But, that is why Bob and his coaching staff make the big bucks! Stoops is one of the greatest coaches in football history. His record here and beyond will prove that much. I am glad we have such a leader for our team and he WILL lead us to another National Championship before he is done at the University of Oklahoma. This is why I trust his decision at QB. Bradford is the man until he loses job or someone takes it away from him. Sam is going to be great for us. I know it!

I love the Sooner just about more than anything and I know what it means to be a true Soonerfan. There is going to be some controversy this year and maybe there will be some low times. No matter what this season may bring good or bad...I am ready for it! It is going to be an awesome year and I hope to see everyone at the TG.(even though no one would give me change for a $10 last year)
