if you woke up one morning with a rash on your hips, wrists and legs, and the rash continued spreading as the morning went on? All I know about this rash is that it itches (as it is not me that has the rash)...

It doesn't seem to be shingles, so we have pretty much ruled that one out.

No new laundry detergents being used, rarely ever use fabric softener. No on the bed bugs (would that even cause a rash?)...

People develop allergies try a different Detergent such as Purex Free it has no perfumes and such to be allergic to.

Just sayin!

On any new medication? 'Cause that sounds exactly like the reaction I just had to doxycycline.

EDIT: Or it could be viral.

Early warning signs of SGS (Spontaneous Gender Shift).
There's still time to pick out a cute cocktail dress for New Year's Eve...if ya' hurry. See Melo for fashion advice.

PS: You busy the second weekend in January?

1) already stated it wasn't me
2) if there is a gender change I will be needing a divorce soon, my wife is the one with the rash.

Oh, and no new medications, and she is 23.

What does the rash look like? Is it hive like, big round circles? Is it little goosepimple looking? Rashes can be caused by a number of things, fungus, allergic reaction, infestation...probably just some contact dermitits, brought on by something she has come into contact, but you never know. (are you using a new aftershave?) Have her take some benadryl to see if that helps. You might also try some aveeno oatmeal bath stuff, it helps a lot too. If it does persist, see a licensed physician and don't trust strangers on a message board! ;)

Serioiusly, I'm 26 - what she has sounds like an allergic reaction to something, although it could also be caused by a virus.

It almost looks like poison oak or something, but she hasn't been around anything where that could be the problem. She has decided she'll wait and see what happens the rest of today and if it doesn't clear up (or if it gets worse) she will go to a doctor tonight or tomorrow.

It might be the soap they used when they showered, as well. Have they changed soaps recently?

Gonnorhea.
:les: I HAD THAT TREATED A LONG TIME AGO!!!

No new soaps either...and no, only I get the full frontal. However, staring at a rash isn't the hawtest thing in the world.

We definitely need pictures. You cannot properly diagnose a rash without visual assessment.

Photoshop can reduce any color discrepancy. Go ahead and post the pic, we'll make it better.

Only pic I have is on the cell, and since I am a moran and did not charge my cell phone the last 2 nights it has died.
Here, as close as I can get it (had to use her arm instead):

that looks nasty, have you considered amputation?

OUinFLA
12/21/2006, 04:02 PM
I think it's worth trying to save her.
She is hawt.

Osce0la
12/21/2006, 04:03 PM
She'd have to be amputated at about the stomach, the rash isn't actually on her arm (I just know better than to post certain pics of my wife on this board ;) ).

Do what the dermatologists do:apply some steroid cream and if it gets better it was some form of dermatitis.

If it gets worse forget I ever recommended doing anything.

Actually the hot tub question was very pertinent especially if the rash is associated with hair follicles.

And we can assume there are no other symptoms like fever and the rash doesn't look like small freckles or bruises?

Do you have a cat or a dog? Sometimes they bring stuff into the house.

Or maybe she's allergic to you. :D
