Anyone know the hot spots for New Years Eve in Phoenix? What other activities do people have planned while they are down there. We will be showing up early morning on the 30th and there til we drive back on the 2nd.

Mill Ave in Tempe. Just don't get too stupid or you'll end up in the clink.

That helps a lot, thank you :). I think the block party sounds pretty sweet downtown in tempe. I heard phoenix did something pretty cool?? Have I heard wrong there?

Tempe Block Party is out of hand big. If you want big, extravagant and all that, go for it. Parking is ridiculous and traffic in and out will be brutal. Third Eye Blind and Vanessa Carlton will be performing. Much to do and all that, but me and my crew are going to take it easy that night and be ready to tailgate bright and early the next day. Our New Year's Eve is going to be on the 30th.

I went to the Tempe Block Party last year and thought it was great...somewhat crowded, great fireworks at midnight...

it can be fun, but lots of drunks and lots of cops..... Just be real careful and dont drive.

I'm staying in Scottsdale with a friend. What is the best thing to do there or surrounding areas (I don't know what is close...Glendale, Phoenix?). We want to have the best time possible but prob don't want to drive more than 20 minutes.

Just depends on what you want to do. If you like being surrounded by 100,000 amateur drunks, 5,000 cops, no parking, horrendous traffic, and pretty fireworks then Tempe is probably your best bet.
