OK, I need some help with a cooking question.

I want to make a rock salt prime rib for Christmas.

I've got a rotisserie that I want to use for it.

Anyone have some good recipes for doing this?

rock salt? what does that mean?

I have seen meat totally encrusted in salt, then baked, but not on a rotisserie

i googled and there's a variety of rotisserie/rub/salt info....you could piece together the basics from there (looks like to me).

and some good horseradish/dijon type stuff. rosemary is always good with roasted meats, IMO.

Everytime you people start discussing roasting and grilling things I keep waiting for my dinner invitation and yet it never arrives. =(

Well if youd offer more than Zima as a gift to your host, then the offers would probably roll in

Take some prime rib, dump a buttload of salt on it, stick it in the microwave for 20 minutes.

That's good eatin'. Mmmm.... I'm getting Hungary.

Because we can't for the life of us figure out how to do a salt-crust thing on a rotisserie. that usually happens in an oven. ;)

Don't you just "set it" and "forget it"?

My wife uses a rotisserie all the dang time, the problem with rubs is, that most of it fall off at some point during the turning process. She complains, but it usually has plenty of flavor for me.
