Caused a strange term of events in football. Not that it wasn't already weird at times, but since then, Mack Brown has won a National Championship, Vince Young is one of the better active NFL QBs, Rutgers coach is the National Coach of the Year, and teams that lose to unranked opponents multiple times are ranked higher than OU. Did I mention the strange effect on officating crews' eyes? :eek: It's kinda like Back to the Future, where one event really weirds sh*t up... Anyone else seen this?

I heard we were on probation that year. Something about Stoops' sak. The bowl committe ruled that it was too large to be human and therefore came to the conclusion that OU could not participate in ANY bowl because they were being aided by aliens. This is a clear recruiting violation.

I thought we voted against participating in a bowl that year in protest of the lack of a play-off system. I pretty sure we did outta respect for Auburn and Utah.

While everyone is rightly focusing on correcting the factual made by sooner2b09, everyone is overlooking the fact that goingoneight called VY one of the better starting QBs in the NFL. I guess maybe he is better than one or two starting QBs, so maybe the statement was literally true, but I think he's worse than about 25.

If yall wanna neg me that's fine! At least I can handle the truth. I'm still a die hard sooners fan and always will be. I just accept the fact we got our @$$ handed to us. We win some and we lose some. That was 2 years ago anyway.

I had a ticket but did not attend because it was cancelled.
