Big Tuck, member of the Dirty South Rydaz (DSR), just released his album on Tuesday, December 12. DSR is a group of underground legends from Dallas who got signed by Universal last year. This is the first album under the new label. This CD, like their others, is really really good. It's called Tha Absolute Truth, by Big Tuck....I recommend that any hip hop fan pick this up because these guys are the next major superstars. I just wanted to help support someone who I feel deserves it, so check it out!

I could take a dump, and the aftermath from said turd smacking the water(if recorded) would outsell the DSR CD.

Either you two are not fans of hip hop, which i believe is the case, or you just don't know what you're talking about.

I am a fan of hip hop. I have heard of Big Tuck. He owns no talent. He could not rent, buy, or sell anything hip hop in my books. Poser 100%

You've heard of him? That means you haven't actually heard him. I have a question, Who do you consider good if he has no talent?

I have heard of DSR. They could not beat out a 98 pound wimp for a spot in a gay porn if their talent depended on it. If you want talent fool, go swisher house. H-town is where its at.

And by good, I mean not as horrendously ****ty as most rappers are these days.

I wish today's rappers would find something else besides cars and rims to rap about. It's boring and predictable.

More rappers need to take some cues from Jurassic 5, ATCQ, The Roots and Run DMC.

haha Mongo...that is funny. As for Chamillionaire and Slim Thug, they are two of the best in rap period. The stuff you hear on the radio is good for dancing but thats about it. Besides the mentioned Texas rappers, Ludacris, Nas, T.I., and Lil' Wayne are running the game.

Mongo

I assume you didn't mention HOVA because it's understood he not only runs the game, but has perfected the game.

Weezy F. Baby is good. T.I. is solid and diverse ("My Love"?), and Nas is not as good as he used to be, but still better than the majority of rappers. What's that new song by Luda..."Runaway Love"? That song makes me want to beat someone unmercifully with a lead pipe. It's worse than "Splash Waterfalls".

You can dance to some of his stuff...but he really gets out the message of what Texas is about....It's different than other rap, as the H-Town boys have proved. D-Town is coming up now.

Oh whatever. If I were gonna list the 5 albums I couldn't do without, I'd go:
Nas - The Lost Tapes
Jay-Z - In My Lifetime Vol. 1
Ghostface Killah - Iron Man
BlackStar - Mos Def And Talib Kweli are BlackStar
Ice Cube - AmeriKKa's Most Wanted

Were I gonna make a list of stuff I wouldn't wipe with I'd add DSR to that one, but I ain't gonna waste my time flushin' that floater of an album. The kidz review said it aint worth the time it takes to cut the tape on the cd wrapper.

The Fat Boys. Now THAT was some rap. Biz Markie rappin' about writing songs while he's sitting on the crapper. That takes some creativity.

Yeah. Sure. If by "funny" you actually mean "pathetic."

kellogg,

How old are you? Are you white? Do you wear those baggin' *** britches? Long T-shirt? Hat with the flat brim sideways? Do little sideways peace signs with your hands when you talk, yo? Gotcha some bling hanging off your neck? Maybe a VW emblem you stole off a Rabbit diesel? Want to have fiddy's babies?

If you answered "yes" to over half the above questions, you seriously need to go find the tallest building or cliff you can, tie an anvil to your neck, and dive off.

TIA.

Oh I'm only warming up. I'm waiting for the "you're just an out-of-tune old man who doesn't get it.." or my personal favorite "you just don't understand how much talent it takes to do rap.." to kick it up a notch.

And you know what's really sad? I read somewhere that demographically, 80+% of "gangsta rap" is purchased by white males between the ages of 12 and 22. If it weren't for idiot white boys, fiddy cent would be flipping burgers for $5 fiddy an hour like he oughta be. And Marshal Mathers would be giving knobbers to old fags down at the local city park bathroom ala George Michael.

And Dean, I don't fit any of the stereotypes that you associate with young males who listen to rap, but that's probably because I listen to almost everything, excluding new country and "Hinder"-type rock.

If you've ever jumped around in front of a stage with your hands in the air holding up finger signs (whatever the **** that **** means) going "YO!!!" when the dude goes "EVER BODY SAY YO!!", or if you've ever done the "whoop whoop" thingy, or if you've cut out the back seat of your car to install 55-gallon drum woofers, or if you got dice dangling, or if you've ever purchased bling, 20's or above - extra points for spinnahs, or ever uttered the phrase "bitch be......" then you still fit the stereotype.

Well, none of that applies to me, either. Keep trying, though, and maybe we'll find a way to fit me into the "young males who listen to rap" stereotype.
