Dear Santa,

As you are taking gifts to all the boys and girls this Christmas, could you please ask them to use www.snopes.com (http://www.snopes.com) to check the validity of a forwarded email prior to sending it to me?

I realize there are people who really want to believe Shirley Feeney hates servicemen and women.

And yes, I realize that it's plausible for me to get raped if I flash my brights at a gangsta. I also know that someone can steal my kidneys while I lay drunk in a bathtub of ice and that needles with AIDS in them could possibly prick my skin as I pump gas, sit on a toilet seat or watch a movie at the theater.

But for the love of all of your reindeer, please make it stop! I get enough spam asking me if I need a bigger penis, I don't need scary e-mails too.

I'm doing my part by responding to links to the site, but perhaps you have greater credibility.

Totally agree with your post. I respond to some of these people that it's a hoax and give them a link to snopes. They usually go "Wow, thanks. I don't want to be passing on false info". Then the next week, I get yet another mail from the same person with some other hoax. One of these days they'll learn. Maybe.

Oh, and that AIDS things is true. There's some kind of cult running around hiding big syringes loaded with 10cc's of AIDS in our movie theaters.
