I've never been a big fan of decorating graves. I can see why some folks do. I just think it's weird.

My mother has taken flowers to my stepfathers for years. They were usually gone in less than 24 hours.
She even tried some roses made from plastic spoons(wierd, but they actually looked way better than they sound), in hopes they would last longer. Nope. the vase attached to the headstone disappeared too.

And the mom should have known better than to leave anything valuable (in price or memories) in a cemetery. Especially with three years experience.

I crocheted an afghan for my husbands grandmother, she lives in a nursing home. I gave it to her on a Friday and by Wednesday, when we stopped by again, it was gone. I haven't seen it since. I sewed her name in it and I'm still hoping it's circulating thru the place and will end up back on her lap.

Next time I will crochet an ugly one and I bet it sticks around longer. :mad:

Who hasn't played Stratego? It's an American classic.. it teaches youngsters how to be an imperialist at an early age.
