Well, it's about $11,500 per semester but the extra 5k is paying off the previous year. I've been paying it out veeeerrry slowly. I've also taken out enough student loans to put my grandkids in debt, but it's worth it!

I think I remember a 12 hour semester was between $1500 and $2000, depending on the kinds of classes. Don't quote me on that, though.

That looks like it takes more effort than I want to put out; I'll just go with Mongo's answer. :D

That's pretty cheap though. I was thinking Baylor wasn't all that much more than a public. I figured it was more like 7-8k a semester for OU.

How much is student parking at OU?

We have a flat tuition rate now so it doesn't matter if you take 12 or 18 hours it's the same cost per semester. If you are a part time student (less than 12 hours) then I think it's something like 800-900 per credit hour.

Around $5500 - $6000 per semester; that's where they get you.

It can be close to 6k if you're an out of stater with >15 hours. I'd expect 7-8k if you're a foreigner.

Parking permit is about $100 per semester or so in the Fall and Spring, about $25 for the Summer.

I'd have in-state tuition.

Parking used to be $75 here but it has gone up to $175 since they replaced all the parking lots with garages that have steeples, starbucks, chilis, and such.

Seriously, parking is about $200 for the year. I don't go through campus parking, though. I'm still paying $100 a semester, but I damn near have a reserved space - university parking oversells a LOT.

Oh, and even as out-of-state, I only paid about $5000 a semester at OU for undergrad. Well, I didn't pay it. The National Merit office paid it.

Upper level classes, out-of-state is around 8,000. Including fees, varies with hours and before grants/scholarships/awards.

i think he's just saying that even out of state, it was less than what you were thinking

i haven't seen the graph lately, usually they post something in the paper after every tuition increase where OU is in the bottom 2 of the Big 12 for tuition costs, if i remember right

And UT is the highest for the public schools, correct?
Supposedly, UT was considering doing away with freshmen entirely and making everyone transfer in as sophomores.

I was on a full-ride scholarship from Fall of 1992-Spring of 1996. At that time, the Oklahoma Board of Regents considered a full ride scholarship to be $2500 per semester deposited into your bursar account, to spend as you would. That was to cover books, tuition, lab fees, room, and board. They would also waive out-of-state tuition if necessary.

I generally even had money left over.

I can set you up on a package deal which will include Zonie girls and an OU football game with a full night's lodging in Phoenix for only $12K. You'll have money left for Plenty of Zima.

I graduate in May.
I was out of school for three semesters. Basically, I had a wasted semester when I got back together with my ex-girlfriend..the one I dated for 5 years. She was up at NSU and I missed her..a lot..so I basically just got in the car and spent all of my time up there with her. That semester was a wash. She'd ocassionally stay with me in Waco, but most of the time it was me being up in Oklahoma.

Anyway, she broke it off the next semester just before I was going to propose and she ended up marrying someone else. That semester was already a wash so I decided to run for state representative. I lost and went back to Baylor with my tail between my legs.

All and all though I have to say I haven't been in any huge hurry.
