I didn't know there was multiple forms of ice. Learn something new everyday

I was expecting something about Sonic's "rabbit poop" ice.

Don't let the old lady with the recipe die or you'll have to drink your bourbon straight up!

If those jerks drop it in the ocean and destroy civilization, I'm going to be ****ed.

To bad they found it so late. Nebraska's AD could have offered it the head coaching position.

Sometimes, even now after years of marriage, I still self-assemble.

Hey the Sooners won the Big12 Championship game and are going to the Fiesta Bowl. How long until UNL finds one of those? ;)

OK...this crap is what drives me crazee about the connections between the press and science. I will go on record right now and say that this research will have little to no connections to the cure of Alzheimer’s. If anything, self-assembly is more important to prion diseases like mad cow, etc. Heck, they know the enzymes that get screwed up in Alzheimer's...now they just have to figure a way to slow them down. Oh wait, they already have.

Basic research is teh awesome, don't get me wrong. It's the vital base to, well, pretty much everything. Stretches like this, though..."We made new ice! A cure is out there!" is pretty much the same as "We slowed down individual photons! A faster computer is out there!"

They always leave off "...in, oh, 100 years or so."

...and of course the University official "stands behind the research." It's FRAKKIN PUBLISHED IN A PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL! GAH!

:D

I'm just jealous. We never get "Oh, they're about to cure diabetes" press.

'course, no one wants to hear the cure...

....

I'd be happy if they found a way to diagnose it that didnt involve an autopsy or a wild guess. If you've ever had to deal with someone with Alzheimer's then you'll know the docs dont really know what they're doing with this ****.
