I figured Blake was headed somewhere when I saw how much weight he had lost. Reminded me of when he lost all that poundage before taking the OU job.

ha! I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the Big 12 Champ game. I hadn't seen him that skinny since he interviewed at OU.

Do any of you think he'll follow Mack Brown's Career path? :D

Hey, Blake, just in case you're reading this... You took over after Howard and his reign of terror, and you deserve credit for at least that.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and give our best to your family.

"Blake posted a 12-22 record in his three years as the head coach at Oklahoma (1996-98), though his recruits comprised most of the starters on the 2000 Sooners squad that won the national championship."

In hindsight, OU should have kept Blake; it is obvious that Stoops had nothing to do with the national championship.

Become a famous Tejas football coach when he's old and grey and get smacked by OU HC Josh Heupel? Ooooh, I like the sound of that. Puts another Sooner at the Tejas helm and an easy win in October... :D

So does this mean that the cornshuckers will win a national championship soon. I mean they do have Blake's recruits and all.

Blake did a better job beating Oklahoma when he was there than when he was at Nebraska.

He'll do better against Dook and NC State than he ever did against Nebbish and the other Big 12 traditional powerhouses. He might just do... okay.

Damn that sure goes to show how much attention i pay to other teams; i thought you guys meant he was going to be the Head Coach at Carolina instead of just an assistant.

Blake is a walking recruiting violation. I guess old habits die hard.

According to the Lincoln Journal Star, citing an unnamed source, Blake will serve as UNC's assistant head coach, defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.

Assistant to the head coach....

all i know is that between OUr title in 2000 with blakes players, and miami's title in 01 with butch's players, whoever takes over when they leave NC is gonna have a HECKUVA team! too bad they wont be able to win it themselves. so sad.
