This may not be the only one, but I am organizing this one!!

Saturday, December 30th, 4 p.m. at The Tilted Kilt in Scottsdale.

A few things. Number one, The Tilted Kilt. Uh...nice views! This location is about 1 mile from where the team is staying. It's newly opened and I eat lunch there about twice a week. Good looking waitresses and great food. Drinks specials are really good especially at this time at Happy Hour. Atmosphere will be fun and here is why I picked that day and time.

The Texas game will be on. How fun would that be if some lonely horn fans were in Scottsdale, AZ, watching their exhilerating Alamo Bowl game and a bunch of rowdy OU fans barged in and took over the place? I think this day will be better than the 31st as that will just be crazy all day everywhere. We can all hang out, visit, watch the horns and have some good food and drinks. If you have kids, you can bring them as it really is more like a restaurant/sports bar...but if they've never seen boobies you might want reconsider cause they are dressed like the website shows. This site also shows a sky view as to the location.

As far as the menu, they really do surprisingly have great food. Appetizers are good, the Sloppy Jane's, the wraps...never had anything I didn't like there.

Drinks include cheap Jack/Coke, Crown/Coke and plenty of beers on tap, including Stella Artois and Kilt Lifter. I think everyone will have fun, they have a huge covered patio that we can overtake and there should be plenty of room. I will go to lunch there tomorrow and talk to a manager to see if we can swing some area reserved for us specifically...I'll shoot for the patio...and we can congregate there. If people hit it off and want to take the party other spots we can do that as there are plenty of places in the area.

This place has much more room and is ten times better than Four Peaks which is in a crowded shopping center. Dos on New Year's Eve will probably be semi-chaotic.

Let me know what you think. RSVP to me via private message so I can give the manager a general idea of how many to expect. Maybe we can get some Sooner specials.

BTW Maestro, ticket = purchased. Fly in the afternoon of the 28th and out on the 3rd.

hmmm, swingers, now that's an interesting thought. Anyone care to elaborate on this? If the meaning is what I think it is, this could lead to all sorts of interesting possibilities ;)

Lets just say that after flying to Seattle around 8 times a year for games as well as flying to OKC for the Sooner games. Then add all the road games we fly to, (aTm, MIssouri, Seahawks vs. KC, AZ and SF), we end up with about 7 free round trip flights. Some spend thier money on fancy restaruants and expensive jewelry, I fly with the kids to most of the games.

You can count on a couple of us military types in on the fun!!! After the drive we will need a few adult beverages to work out the stiff leg syndrome. For those of you interested after watching the shorthorns the UFC fights begin at 8:00 and will be on their big screens. Beautiful women, college football, food & drinks, with man violence as dessert. Damn I can't wait.

No, but I have enjoyed Tuscany chicken...and I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

I will have a new thread about this event soon. And, for you country music haters, beware...one Toby Keith has received an official invite for the party. Not sure if he is going to be in town, but that would be fairly cool if he came walking in to our little throwdown.

Everyone and anyone is invited. We'll have a good time and I am going to try and call the Tilted Kilt today and make them aware of a good sized crowd showing up.

Force the players and coaches to come out and acknowledge our presence and give us a speech or something. The team hotel is about a mile away from our little get together...which is turning into a BIG get together.

And my friend, Cole, has informed me that we will have two past president's and one current president of the KA fraternity at OU present at the party...so wear something nice. Like a tuxedo t-shirt or somethin'.

How many people are expected to be there? Should we get there earlier considering the Alamo Bowl is on earlier and we can watch hawkeyes beat the horns? Just a thought :)

I just noticed that the Ortiz/Liddel fight is that same night at 8pm - they aren't charging a cover charge for that either - should be a nice day/night to be drinkin' at the Kilt.

Bowl games, bad asses, beer, & babes - looking forward to it!

P.S. - Maestro, or Soonersam - are you guys getting an "area" in there that we should try to look for, or ask them at the door for? As Soonersweetie stated - we might want to get there earlier than 4? I dunno.

Well, since the stadium is in Wickenburg, I'm betting PIR is quite a bit closer to it than Sky Harbor is. ;)
