I think this might have been posted, but I haven't seen the thread lately. So here it is, again. GO vote! It's kinda neat to read about all the great teams from ages past.

My only question is which of the several OU teams will eventually win it all. :D It was tough to decide between the 55 and 56 Sooners who unluckily drew each other in the latest round. :(

kinda ghey that they pitted 2 great OU teams against each other -- making sure one doesn't make it to the next round -- they did the same for Army's two greatest teams, '44 & 45. whatever!

Listen to the King! Go vote, Sooners!

This thing is going to be a sham. Are you kidding me? This is the Internet era. I'm almost certain a team from 1995-present is going to win because of media hype. The kids voting in this thing most likely don't know jack about any teams pre-1990.

A good point was also brought up during the broadcast. Compare '56 OU to '04 SUCC. You can't compare teams from completely different eras of football. The only part of the game that hasn't changed is the goal of scoring more points than the other team....and the fact that the Sooners are and always will be the best team evar.

We went from 5 teams to 1, and that was only cause we were up against ourselves. Color me shocked.

I was kinda thinking the entire thing was stupid. I mean i know they're just playing the what if game but there is NO WAY that teams of yester year could keep up with the speed and power of the game today PERIOD!! NO player on a 1945 army team or 50 something any team would be able to catch Reggie Bush or AD. So really your comparing apples to oranges. If they wanted to make this really interesting they would have gone all out and had some sort of equivalency gauge for players in the 20's, 30's, 40's, etc... Say a team in the 30's had a LB that was 5'9 190 lbs. what would that be equivalent to in todays game and then judge the teams.

Please excuse my french, but how the **** is texass from last year still in it?

I guess its just because they were, well, last years champions, and people easily remember them.

The King sure does put on a show.

I'd love to see him do more TV spots like this.
